NEW YORK

Lawrence Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital have established a new relationship aimed at enhancing care, improving access, and lowering health care costs for residents of Bronxville and surrounding communities in Westchester County. Lawrence has been renamed NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital.

“We are pleased to join with the Lawrence Hospital leadership, trustees, doctors, and staff to expand services and enhance quality of care for residents of Westchester County,” said Dr. Steven J. Corwin, chief executive officer of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. “The new relationship offers opportunities to expand preventive services, ambulatory care, and primary care programs in these communities, as well as provide enhanced access to the advanced specialty care offered at our six campuses in Manhattan and White Plains. It will also provide more convenient access for residents who already seek care at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Manhattan locations.”

“We are excited,” said Edward M. Dinan, president and chief executive officer at Lawrence Hospital. “The Board of Governors vetted its options and reached the unanimous conclusion that joining forces with NewYork-Presbyterian would bring extraordinary benefit to the communities we serve. We’re seeing that already in the commitment to move cardiac catheterization into Lawrence for the first time, and there is more to come. We could not have picked a better partner with more focus on enhancing care than NewYork-Presbyterian.”
