Multidisciplinary Sleep Center for Children
Specialized Pediatric Sleep Clinics
Every two weeks, NewYork-Presbyterian offers a multidisciplinary sleep clinic — alternating in location between NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.
Convenience
This unique clinic brings together all the specialists needed to evaluate pediatric patients with complex sleep disorders and customize a plan of care to meet each child’s needs.
An Integrated Team
Three doctors from pediatric neurology, pulmonology, and psychology with expertise in sleep disorders come together at the same time in one place to assess your child, discuss your concerns, and determine the next steps for care — such as ordering sleep lab testing if needed and choosing the most effective treatment. Each child’s visit typically lasts an hour or so.
Coordinated Care
If your child already has a pediatric neurologist or pulmonologist, our sleep experts will not replace that physician, but will communicate the findings of our assessments to your doctor. Our team may also connect patients with social workers who can help coordinate other services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, educational support, or home-based care.
Other Pediatric Sleep Clinics
NewYork-Presbyterian also offers pediatric sleep clinics focused on general sleep issues and CPAP use (both at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital) and behavioral sleep problems (at NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital).
