The Carolyne E. Czap and Eugene A. Czap Alzheimer's Program at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital offers a full continuum of care for patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and other memory and cognitive disorders. The Program also offers brain fitness training for older adults.

Early diagnosis and treatment has been shown to greatly improve quality of life and may significantly slow down the progression of this disease. There is no single method for diagnosing Alzheimer's. This is one of the reasons NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital offers a collaborative approach, with an interdisciplinary team of specialists who can determine whether a patient's memory loss is caused by Alzheimer's or another brain disorder. The neurologist and the patient, family and caregivers then determine the best course of treatment for each individual patient.

The Carolyne E. Czap and Eugene A. Czap Alzheimer's Program has been developed to improve the quality of patients' lives, and those of their families and caretakers, through the provision of comprehensive and personalized assistance, support and therapy.
