Pediatric Sports Medicine
As more children and adolescents engage in competitive sports, pediatric sports injuries are becoming more common. At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, we recognize that children and teens should not be treated as small adults. Their growth and healing potential must be taken into account when devising a treatment plan. Our experienced and compassionate pediatric sports medicine specialists use nonsurgical and surgical approaches to treat injuries in young athletes, help them return to full pain-free function whenever possible, and teach them how to prevent future injuries.
We also serve as team physicians for our local community high schools, including Holy Cross, St. Francis Prep, The Mary Louis Academy, and Monsignor McClancy Memorial.
