These standards are built on the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding, a set of evidence-based practices recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) for optimal infant feeding support in the precious first days of a newborn’s life.
From pregnancy through the early weeks of your baby’s life, we offer a host of breastfeeding support programs and resources for new mothers and their families. Our lactation consultants are available to work with you and your baby on the basics of breastfeeding positions and latching-on techniques so that you can achieve breastfeeding success. They are available by phone to answer any questions and concerns that may arise after you go home with your baby.
