At NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester, we are committed to providing premier quality imaging with compassion and care. We employ a professional and experienced staff of board-certified radiologists, imagers and technicians who use the latest technology and imaging techniques to gather the most accurate images available. Whether it’s a Low Dose CT Scan or mammography, our Radiology department offers a full range of imaging services in a comfortable and convenient setting.
NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester's Radiology department is affiliated with The Alliance for Radiation Safety in Pediatric Imaging. The Alliance, whose primary focus is imaging children gently, is a coalition of health care organizations dedicated to providing safe, high quality imaging nationwide. Image Wisely, is the adult counterpart to Image Gently. The program's main goal is lowering the amount of radiation used in medically necessary imaging studies and eliminating unnecessary procedures for adults.
At NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester, we are proud to be a part of this important collaborative effort. With the acquisition of Westchester County’s first Low Dose CT Scanning device, we are able to acquire images using up to 40% less radiation during a scan. We also have a second scanning device in our Emergency Department. Low Dose CT scans are especially important when children require an image or for those who have chronic illnesses and need repeated imaging done. That's why at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester, we are confident that we can deliver on our promise to "Image Gently," children and grown-ups alike.
