Ridge, MD, Medical Director of LMA, the original group of board certified physicians in Internal and Geriatric medicine, has grown to include other specialists who are board certified in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Cardiology.

Lawrence Hospital Center has launched a new Guest Wireless Network. This free service offers wireless high-speed Internet access for anyone with a personal computer. As a courtesy, Lawrence is offering this capability to its physicians, patients, their families and visitors.

NYP-Westchester-Earns-Planetree-Honor-for-Patient-Centered-Care

NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester has received the 2016 Planetree Distinction Award for Leadership and Innovation in Patient-Centered Care. The award is the highest level of recognition conferred by Planetree and honors healthcare organizations that continually advance the practice of patient-centered care through outreach, research, scholarship and innovation. NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester is the first and only behavioral health site in the United States to receive the award.

A new study has found that the rate of prostate biopsies and radical prostatectomies decreased following a 2012 United States Preventative Task Force (USPSTF) recommendation against prostate specific antigen (PSA) testing. Researchers from NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine share their findings in this week’s JAMA Surgery.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center today announced the dedication of the Avon Foundation Breast Imaging Center and the Avon Breast Cancer Research Laboratories -- two key components of the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Program, supported by gifts from the Avon Foundation totaling $16 million since 2000.
